PEMA works closely with a number of graduate medical institutions to train and develop physicians and clinical staff.  These efforts go hand in hand with our quality, teaching, and research endeavors, to improve pediatric ED care for current and future generations.

We currently train the Pediatric residents affiliated with Navicent Health/Mercer University and the Family Practice residents from WellStar Atlanta Medical Center at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's Scottish Rite Hospital.  We also train the Emory College of Medicine's Pediatric and Emergency Medicine residents at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's Egleston Hospital.

We also train the Pediatric, Emergency Medicine, and Family Practice Medicine residents at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine at Erlanger Hospital.

Medical students from Morehouse School of Medicine rotate through our Emergency Departments, as well as APP students from Emory University School of Nursing.
